100 Years of Knighton Fields Swimming Club!!

Congratulations to all at Knighton Fields Swimming Club. 2010 is our Centenary Year. Founded in 1910, the club has been a constant presence in the Leicestershire swimming arena for the past 100 years.

During this period we have trained many hundreds of Leicester swimmers, allowing them to reach their potential, whatever it may be. For some this has meant competing on the International stage.

We have competed in numerous leagues and galas against clubs from all over the region, formed permanent links with our friends at Penzance Swimming Club, and have even travelled as a club to Missouri in the US as guests of the Jefferson Swimming Club.

Run entirely by volunteers, over the years we have provided officials, representatives and presidents to the Leicestershire ASA, and because of this willingness to get involved, the club is still here - 100 years later.

So a massive thank you to all of the members and volunteers, both past and present, who have contributed to this great club.

See you in another 100 years!

British Records!

Tsubasa Nakagawa has been continuing to progress his swimming achievements, setting 14, 15 and 16 years British Age Group Records for 50m Freestyle, taking the record previously held by Mark Foster. Well done Tsubasa - Knighton Fields is proud of your achievements.

See the Records section for details in the Swimmers > Times section.
